Lee County deputies arrested a Lee County man suspected of stabbing another man to death at a home in Buckingham on Tuesday night.

At around 7:30 p.m., the Lee County Sheriff’s Office says deputies went to a home on Cedar Hammock Court in reference to a stabbing. While there, deputies found a man inside with multiple stab wounds to the neck and throat. They performed first aid until Lee County EMS arrived and pronounced the man dead.

During their investigation, deputies learned a possible suspect, 44-year-old Ryan Foster, may have fled to a relative’s home in North Fort Myers. LCSO’s aviation unit found Foster’s car parked outside a home on Palm Creek Drive in North Fort Myers and notified North District deputies and the K-9 Unit. A short time later, they detained Foster, who was found still covered in the victim’s blood.

Foster is currently in the Lee County Jail and faces a charge of second-degree murder.
