The crash happened just before 3 a.m. on Saturday near County Road 74 and Eugene Avenue. The Florida Highway Patrol said a pickup was traveling west on CR-74, also known as Bermont Road while a tractor-trailer was traveling east. The pickup traveled into the opposite lane and hit the tractor-trailer head-on causing a fire to break out. The driver and passenger in the pickup died as did the driver of the tractor-trailer. Positive identification is pending, troopers said. The crash remains under investigation. As a result of this crash, eastbound Bermont Road at State Road 31 is closed and westbound Bermont Road is closed at State Road 29. According to FHP, these roads will be shut down until Monday afternoon.
