Scattered storms Monday afternoon prompted Severe Thunderstorm Warnings

A front stalled across the Cape Sable area will lift north Monday, providing the “kick” needed to get more showers and storms going by Monday afternoon.

We’ll have to watch out for a low-end severe threat Monday, with a Level 1 out of 5 risk for severe storms across the southern two-thirds of the Southwest Florida viewing area.

The main threats will be lightning, gusty to damaging winds, and the possibility of even seeing some hail.

Highs will be in the mid- to upper 80s Monday under a mostly cloudy sky.

Once the front lifts out of our area Tuesday, we’ll experience some lower rain chances for Tuesday and Wednesday. Breezy weather will also return to the area.

Our next cold front will move through Friday, bringing us some nice changes for the weekend! After some isolated rain and storms Thursday and Friday, we’ll get to enjoy a completely dry weekend along with a drop in humidity and temperatures.

Highs will fall back into the upper 70s and lower 80s for the weekend with lows in the 50s Saturday and Sunday night. Enjoy!
