Lehigh Acres man found guilty for possession of cocaine

A 37-year-old Lehigh Acres man was sentenced to five years in prison after a jury found him guilty of possession of cocaine and driving with a suspended license.

Danorris Isacc Balkcom was stopped by Lee County deputies after traveling 20 miles over the speed limit on Cleveland Avenue, according to a news release from the state attorney’s office. The arrest happened in July of 2020.

During the traffic stop, deputies found a glass pipe and baggie of methamphetamine.

Balkcom also admitted to having four rocks of crack cocaine on him. He was also found guilty of selling fentanyl to a confidential informant in another case.
