There’s a fight over the belongings of Brian Laundrie, the 23-year-old man linked to the murder of his fiancée Gabby Petitio.

William Galarza, an attorney representing the Laundrie family, said Brian Laundrie’s estate isn’t worth more than $20,000.

But, the Petito family believes there is more money.

During a probate hearing on Tuesday, Sarasota lawyer Barry Spivey was assigned as curator to Laundrie’s estate.

Laundrie’s remains were found in October following an extensive search by law enforcement at the Carlton Reserve.

Laundrie died by suicide.

Laundrie and Petito went on a cross-country road trip last summer but failed to return together.

Petito was found dead at Grand Teton National Park. The FBI closed the investigation but declared Laundrie the sole suspect.
