LeeTran offering free rides on April 23 in recognition of Earth Day

Lee County Transit, LeeTran, will offer free rides on all fixed-route buses for Try Transit Day on Saturday, April 23, in recognition of Earth Day.

Try Transit Day is intended to increase ridership by raising awareness of the environmental and economic benefits of utilizing public transit. Residents, visitors and commuters are encouraged to give public transit a try to experience a greener and more economical transportation option.

The free day of rides is available on fixed-route buses and trolleys in Lee County. To view a full system map and route schedules, visit www.RideLeeTran.com or plan your route using the transit option in Google Maps.

LeeTran is the public transit provider that operates in Lee County with 26 bus routes, and an ADA paratransit service called Passport. LeeTran employs approximately 280 people and has a fleet of 52 full-size buses, 12 trolleys, 5 seasonal trams and 50 paratransit vans.
