Dry, warm, breezy conditions continue; when will rain chances return?

Gear up for another warm, dry and breezy day Thursday with highs set to warm back into the upper 80s and low 90s under a mix of sun and clouds.

Winds will continue to pick up out of the northeast to east, with average wind gusts around 25 mph.

Atmospheric moisture, along with humidity, will slowly increase beginning Friday and into the weekend.

This will allow for chances for rain and storms to return to the forecast.

In fact, by Friday, we’ll see some showers and storms move from east to west across the Southwest Florida viewing area, especially for areas along and south of the Caloosahatchee River, where rain chances will be highest.

The heat will stick around, however, with highs set to remain in the 90s well into next week.
