A man has been arrested after being accused of climbing through a 14-year-old’s bedroom window and crawling into their bed.

Cape Coral Police say they responded to a call where a male suspect, Christian Matthew Kimbrough, 18, rode his bicycle to the child’s house before climbing into the bedroom of the victim through a window and hid under the sheets.

According to the arrest report, Kimbrough and the victim were exchanging messages via Snapchat and talked about him coming over and the two having sex.

They said he was caught by an adult in the home and was still in the room when officers arrived and the 14-year-old victim was in the living room.

Kimbrough told police he was invited over by the victim but nothing happened, however, the victim disputed the claim that nothing happened.

Through the investigation, investigators determined Kimbrough had full knowledge of the child’s age and they first met through Snapchat a month prior to the incident.

WINK News Safety and Security Specialist Rich explained, “This is a scary situation for parents. What is likely is it this younger child was probably communicating with this older person for a period of time. And the parents had no idea what was going on.”

Kimbrough faces a charge of Lewd or Lascivious Battery (Victim 12-16 years old). He was later transported to the Lee County Jail.
