A Cape Coral Comcast facility lost over $58,000 in equipment and damages after 11 trucks were burglarized in its parking lot Sunday morning.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, the Comcast facility at 1418 SE 10th St. contacted police at around 7:45 a.m. about multiple vehicle burglaries.

An employee reported that 11 trucks in the parking lot had their locks cut off of their equipment storage bins and equipment had been removed, some left scattered on the ground.

CCPD detectives estimated the damage to each vehicle to be approximately $100 for each of the locks that were cut or sawed off and the damage to the locking mechanisms.

An inventory of the stolen items from each Comcast Ford F-450 truck shows that the cost of stolen equipment from all of the trucks totals $58,800.
