After a few drier days of weather, a return of atmospheric moisture will bring back scattered rain and storms today and throughout this weekend.
Look out for periods of heavy rain and storms coupled with periods of dry time throughout the rest of this evening into tomorrow morning. Have that umbrella handy! The main threat from Friday’s storms will be the potential for localized flooding and frequent lightning.
Highs will be slightly below average thanks to the additional cloud cover and rain, with temperatures set to top off in the upper 80s for most.
The start of the weekend will also feature scattered rain and storms on Saturday. Sunday, however, might be a bit drier, with less of us seeing rain due to some Saharan Dust beginning to move into the area.
