During a Town Hall meeting at FGCU, On assistance for veterans, Florida representative Byron Donalds spoke on the search at Mar-A-Lago.

A lot of different topics were covered at the town hall Tuesday night, but Mar-A-Lago is what had people talking.

Congressman Donalds said whoever authorized the search should be fired or impeached. The historic FBI search of Mar-A-Lago some say could become a historical mistake.

“We’ve had some doozies because the justice system isn’t perfect but this one it’s sitting right up there at the top,” said Byron Donalds, U.S. House of Representatives District 19.

“I was actually laughing when I heard that the safe was completely empty,” said Glenn Sullivan a military veteran.

Bruce Page was nearly speechless trying to find words for what unfolded on Monday. “This is insane what they’re able to get away with right now,” said Page.

Congressman Donalds taking calls trying to learn more as there was no lead-up to the search.

“Members of the intel Committee are just as confused as everybody else,” said Donalds.

Trump supporters have said that this is political in nature.

“We know this is anything that they can do right now just to keep him from running for election again,” said Page a Trump supporter.

“This goes back to bureaucratic mismanagement at best and political collusion at worst,” said Donalds.

There are still a lot of questions that need to be answered. But nonetheless, Donalds said the search never should have happened and there will be investigations moving forward.
