Scattered storms continue Sunday

Published: Updated:

Typical rainy season conditions are expected for your Sunday and the week ahead.

Thanks to a more dominant Gulf sea breeze, storms will track towards the southeast throughout the afternoon. The earliest of the showers and storms will likely begin towards the northernmost and coastal part of the region before tracking south and inland.

Storms can be expected to linger until Sunday night, clearing away by about 10 p.m.

Sunday’s high temperatures cool off slightly from what we’ve seen this past week and return closer to the average for this time of year, ranging from the upper 80s near the coastal zones to the lower 90s further inland.

Boating conditions are expected to be pleasant, with only around one-foot wave heights and light chop in the bays.

Despite the showers and cloud cover, the UV index remains forecast as 11 (Extreme) for your Sunday.
