A man was killed and three more were seriously injured in a head-on collision between two pickup trucks on SR-29 in Immokalee early Tuesday morning. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, a 27-year-old man from Lehigh Acres, with another 27-year-old Lehigh Acres man as his passenger, was driving a white Dodge Ram north on SR-29, approaching Agriculture Way around 2:40 a.m. A 54-year-old Immokalee man with a 59-year-old Immokalee man as his passenger was driving a black Ford F-250 south on SR-29, south of Agriculture Way. The Dodge Ram crossed the center line and entered the southbound lane. The front left of the Dodge collided with the front left of the Ford F-250. Both trucks came to rest on the shoulder of SR-29 South, with the Ford truck overturning. The 27-year-old driver of the Dodge Ram was declared dead. The crash remains under investigation.
