The Lee County Sheriff’s Office says it arrested two people on Fort Myers Beach after curfew on Saturday night.

Deputies say they responded to a home on Washington Avenue around 11:15 p.m. after receiving a report of suspicious people in the house.

According to deputies, the home appeared destroyed and uninhabitable. Inside, they found Jeffrey Michael Zukowski, 51, and Dawn Anderson, 51.

They told deputies that they were working on the home, but deputies say there was a clear baggie with a crystalline substance and a glass pipe in plain view between them.

Deputies proved the duo’s story to be false and tested the crystalline substance, which tested positive for methamphetamine.

Zukowski and Anderson were arrested and are facing charges of violating curfew, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
