There are two opportunities for Southwest Florida residents to eat a hot meal on Wednesday before the Thanksgiving holiday.

Lowe’s will join with the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief to serve 1,000 take-home Thanksgiving meals at its store in south Fort Myers at 14960 S. Tamiami Trail.

Another 1,000 meals will be served at Lowe’s of Port Charlotte at 2000 Tamiami Trail.

The meals will be served beginning at 1 p.m.

Individually-packaged meals will include chicken breast cooked in turkey gravy, cornbread dressing, green beans, cranberry sauce and pumpkin pie.

Meals will be distributed to residents on a first-come, first-served basis.

Lowe’s previously hosted bucket brigades last month at the Fort Myers location and other stores across the region to distribute free cleanup supplies. Lowe’s associates have passed out more than 3,000 relief buckets and over 20 truckloads of water to those affected by Ian.
