A child was hit by a car Friday morning while walking to his bus stop on Luckett Road in Fort Myers.
According to the School District of Lee County, an elementary school student waiting at the bus stop at the intersection of Luckett Road and Nuna Avenue returned home to retrieve something he had forgotten. While walking back, he was struck by a car.
He was conscious after the crash and was transported to the hospital out of caution.
