Diane Georgelos didn’t know who the man was who saved her life. But she told WINK News she needed to find him.

WINK News reached out to Amazon, and a tracking number on the package led to the man Georgelos was looking for. She was then able to finally thank him for saving her life.

Kellen Georger was the one who delivered a package to Georgelos on Thursday afternoon, and she was tempted to call it a miracle that he saved her life that day.

When the two reunited for the first time since that day, Georgelos began crying, then hugged and thanked Georger.

“I was carrying in multiple bags of groceries, probably 15 to 20 bags,” Georgelos said.

Then, a wrong-footed step put her in serious danger.

“When I turned, I just literally flew over to my side into the wall of the garage, hit my back part of my head,” Georgelos said.

Without a phone and nobody else home, Georgelos feared the worst.

“My kidney would have gone into failure,” Georgelos said.

While Georgelos was lying there and calling for help, Georger came by to drop a package off.

“Turned the corner, and there she was—poor thing folded like a lawn chair at the bottom of her steps,” George said. “I just wanted to make sure that poor thing didn’t just hit her head… I mean, her foot, of course, was torn up.”

“Just knelt down to me in a very nurturing, caring way,” Georgelos said. “Very face-to-face. ‘What can I do for you?’ was the first thing he said to me.”

Georgelos asked Georger to carry her inside.

“She was in a state of panic,” Georger said. “We took it together. We went up those stairs together.”

He wrapped her foot, then got her some water, her phone and a coffee.

“He’s like, ‘What, what else can I do? What if we get the dairy into the house?'” Georgelos said.

“At first I was kind of laughing, like, ‘Why am I putting away your groceries?'” Georger said. “But it was a good thing. She’s a strong woman.”

He waited until an ambulance came and knew Georgelos’ neighbor was on her way.

“I didn’t want to leave her unattended. So, as soon as I heard the sirens, I knew it was all good. I could go,” Georger said.

But not before doing what he was there to do in the first place.

“Did get my email that showed my package being delivered,” Georgelos said.

And after properly meeting, the pair noted they’d share a bond forever.
