Credit: Collier County Sheriff’s Office A maintenance worker at a Naples apartment complex was sentenced Friday to more than eight years in prison for sexually assaulting a tenant. According to the State Attorney’s Office, Rafael Nilo Lorenzo, 68, was adjudicated guilty and sentenced to 100 months followed by 80 months of sex offender probation for sexual battery. He was also designated a sex offender. Lorenzo was found guilty in February following a trial in Collier County. He was a maintenance worker for an apartment complex in Naples. In 2019, he went into the victim’s apartment and forced himself on her in her kitchen. A family member of the victim arrived shortly after the attack and found Lorenzo, who ran away. The Collier County Sheriff’s Office was called to the scene and found Lorenzo near a maintenanceshed. He admitted to the attack and was arrested.
