A precautionary boil water notice has been issued to all Fort Myers Beach and Estero Island residents.

According to the Town of Fort Myers Beach, the boil water notice is due to residual chlorine levels getting out of standard compliance levels.

The report states that a rolling boil lasting one minute will suffice, or bottled water is an alternative.

Once the bacteriological survey shows that the water is safe, the precautionary boil water notice will be lifted, but not until then.

You can call Roxanne Frank, the utility supervisor or Deborah Hite, the customer service representative in Fort Myers Beach, at 239-463-9914 if you have any questions.
