Injured manatee rescued after Cape Coral Police, LCSO, and FWC team up

The Cape Coral Police Department rescued an injured manatee with the help of the Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office on Thursday.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, the injured manatee was spotted along Riverside Drive in Cape Coral on Thursday.

The manatee was reportedly approximately two-years-old.

The manatee was safely transported to get the care needed to recover.
