Crews from the Iona McGregor Fire District responded to a structure fire off Davis Road in Lee County on Tuesday afternoon.

According to the Iona McGregor Fire District, crews from the Fort Myers Beach Fire District, Lee County Public Safety, and the Lee County Sheriff’s Office also responded to the fire.

Right away at the scene, it was clear there was a heavily-involved mobile home fire. Jumping into action, crews searched for any possible victims. Fortunately, crews did not find any victims at the scene.

The home engulfed by the blazes hadn’t been occupied since Hurricane Ian hit Southwest Florida. The mobile home was set to be demolished.

The cause of the fire is unknown and is under investigation.
