The Weather Authority Chief Meteorologist Matt Devitt and WINK News Live Doppler 3X spotted rotation in a storm cell Monday afternoon.
The cell started near South Gulf Cove around 12:50 p.m. then pushed over Charlotte Harbor after 1 p.m.
Alert WINK News viewers also captured the funnel cloud and shared photos.
