Get ready for an extremely active hurricane season.

NOAA, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, called for 17 to 25 named storms, 8 to 13 hurricanes, with 4 to 7 becoming major hurricanes.

Colorado State University researchers predicted 23 named storms, 11 hurricanes, with 5 major hurricanes.

“Within 48 hours, that system could be a category four hurricane bearing down your coastline,” warned Daniel Brown with the National Hurricane Center.
