Former President Barack Obama headlined night two of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago.

In his speech he spoke about being more civil and building community.

“We chase the approval of strangers on our phones, we build all manner of walls and fences around ourselves and then wonder why we feel so alone,” said Obama.

Not only is Obama the former President, he is also a Chicago native.

Former First Lady Michelle Obama also spoked at the convention.

The duo will affirmed their support for the Kamala Harris-Tim Walz ticket.

Monday night, President Joe Biden was thanked for his more than 50-year political career.

As soon as Biden was done, the President wasted no time getting on a plane and flying west to Southern California for vacation.

Some of the speakers for Tuesday night’s convention besides the Obamas included Senator Bernie Sanders and Second Gentleman Doug Emhoff.
