The Town of Fort Myers Beach announced Lee County has restored water to the island following Hurricane Milton.

Although residents now have access to water, all of Fort Myers Beach is currently under a boil water notice.

According to an announcement on the town’s website, once the water is turned back on, two consecutive days of satisfactory bacteriological water samples must show that the water is safe to drink before the boil water notice is lifted.

If you have any questions about the water on Fort Myers Beach, you can contact the Utilities Department at 239-463-9914.

WINK News will provide updates as soon as the boil water notice is lifted.
