The City of Sanibel is set to hold its Volunteer Expo, an event with nearly 50 organizations aiming to give back to the community.

According to the event organizer, this event Thursday is valuable for new and seasoned volunteers to learn about current opportunities with close to 50 registered Sanibel-Captiva nonprofits and community groups.

The expo will begin at 4 p.m. and end at 7 p.m. at the Sanibel Community House.

To encourage a higher turnout, event organizers will enroll online registers for a prize raffle and swag bags distributed to the first 500 attendees.
