A man at the center of accusations against Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno won’t be charged in a stalking case.

Ken Romano, a jeweler from Bonita Springs, will not face charges in a separate stalking case.

The case was initially moved to Sarasota due to the local state attorney’s professional relationship with Marceno.

The decision not to file charges came after the witness chose not to pursue the case further, according to the state attorney in Sarasota.

This development comes amid separate accusations involving Sheriff Marceno, although the details of those accusations remain undisclosed.
