The Florida Highway Patrol is seeking information on a hit-and-run driver who crashed into a vehicle after fleeing a traffic stop.

On Tuesday, shortly after 1 p.m., troopers tried to stop a red Dodge Charger for a traffic violation in Collier County.

The Dodge fled from the traffic stop.

According to the FHP, several minutes later, the same Dodge Charger rear-ended a Dodge Stratus at 12035 Collier Blvd., injuring the 18-year-old driver.

Rather than staying on the scene and calling for help, the unknown Dodge Charger’s driver and two passengers, 46-year-old Raysa Ventura and 28-year-old Junior Ronaldo Alvarado, fled the scene.

With assistance from the Collier County Sheriff’s Office, troopers captured both passengers a short time later, and they were booked into the Collier County Jail.

Ventura and Alvarado are being charged with possession of cocaine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and obstruction.

If you have any information on the driver’s whereabouts, contact Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-8477. You can also submit tips online or on the P3 Tips mobile app. Remember, you can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
