Baseball fans in Fort Myers are eagerly anticipating the arrival of the Boston Red Sox equipment truck.

Starting at 8 a.m. on Thursday, fans at Jetblue Park will begin to line up to support the start of the spring training season.

Since 2012, the Red Sox have called JetBlue Park their springtime home.

The truck is loaded with essential items, such as 20 cases of bubble gum and 60 cases of sunflower seeds. Any baseball player knows these are essentials when game time comes around.

Additionally, the team is bringing over 20,000 balls, along with hundreds of bats, gloves, and helmets.

The truck departed from Boston on Monday and is expected to arrive at JetBlue Park later this morning. This is exciting news for baseball fans nationwide.

“We come for baseball, and we enjoy it! We enjoy the weather, we get our drink on, we go see people that we’ve met for the past 20 years,” said Jessamy Finet, a fan from Boston.
