A Fort Myers man has pled guilty to multiple charges following a robbery at a Fort Myers Papa Johns in September.

The Middle District of Florida said that Shadarien Lamarr Ward robbed the Papa Johns and pistol-whipped an employee in the process.

Ward then grabbed $700 in cash and fled the area on foot.

Law enforcement identified Ward after reviewing the surveillance cameras in the area. He was then found in a nearby hotel.

Ward was wearing a GPS monitor at the time of the robbery due to his status as a registered sex offender. However, he cut off his GPS monitor following the robbery.

Ward has pled guilty to interference with commerce by robbery, brandishing a firearm during a crime of violence and possessing a firearm as a person with felonies.
