Portions of the Fort Myers Regional Library will be closed for repairs and renovation for six to eight weeks.

Repairs will address damage caused by Hurricane Ian, and new flooring will be installed on the second level.

According to the county, during this period, limited library service and programming will be provided in the meeting rooms at the library’s South Building on the downtown campus at 1651 Lee St.

Hours at this location will be 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Services at the temporary adjacent site will include a collection of new books and children’s books for check-out and material returns and a 24/7 book drop-off and hold pick-up.

Wi-Fi is available on the north and south plazas. Select library programs will be held throughout the closure.

The temporary closure will begin on Monday, March 17. It will not impact the Southwest Florida Reading Festival.
