The Fort Myers Police Department has arrested a man accused of an unprovoked attack at a Publix on Lee Boulevard.

Police arrested Gabriel Solomon at around 8:40 p.m. Wednesday after the report of the stabbing was made.

According to FMPD, Solomon followed and attacked an individual inside the store.

A witness of the attack was able to detain Solomon in time for police to arrive at the scene.

During their investigation, police found that Solomon’s disregard for human life and the severity of the injuries led them to charge him with attempted second-degree murder.

The victim was last listed in stable condition.

Solomon was arrested and transported to the Lee County Jail.
