The Cape Coral Police Department swarmed a neighborhood early Friday, temporarily detaining four men. A WINK News viewer contacted us saying that police were at Northwest 26th Street and Fourth Avenue with multiple people in handcuffs. According to police, they had a search warrant issued to investigate a home located in the Cape Coral neighborhood. WINK News reporter Camila Pereira was sent to the scene to gather more information. A neighbor said they heard a loud bang at around 6:30 a.m. The witness then said that they believed it was not gunshots; however, they went outside to check, discovering the heavy police presence. Officers isolated the home, entering and exiting the property with brown paper bags whose contents remain unclear. After conducting their investigation, police uncuffed the men before leaving the scene.
