Lee County schools drop DEI office, director takes new improvement role

Published: Updated:

The Lee County School District has decided to eliminate its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) office.

During a meeting, the school board approved this decision as part of the consent agenda.

WINK News confirmed the elimination of the DEI office with the district.

Jarrett Eady, who previously led the DEI office, now holds the title of Director of Continuous Improvement.

The district established the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Office in 2018 to address racial and socioeconomic inequities within the district.
