Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has announced safety efforts in Florida ahead of spring break.

He announced this during a news conference in Miami Beach Thursday afternoon.

DeSantis said that efforts to ensure a productive and orderly spring break in Miami and other parts of Florida in the next few weeks will be supported.

He said a chaotic spring break hurts businesses and residents.

He’s directing state and law enforcement agencies to provide the additional personnel and assets needed to local entities around the state.

The Florida Highway Patrol deployed resources to support the agencies requesting assistance in late February and will continue to do so into April.
