The Weather Authority is tracking a breezy and sunny Thursday with an increased chance of fire weather.

The Weather Authority Meteorologist Juliana Mejia said, “A red flag warning for fire weather has been issued in several parts of Southwest Florida. The elevated fire risk is due to critically low humidity and gusty winds.”

Thursday

Red flag warnings and fire weather watches are active across Southwest Florida through Thursday evening.

The afternoon will remain cool, with highs in the upper 60s and low 70s.

Friday

Expect a colder morning, with wake-up temps in the low-to-upper 40s.

Staying mainly clear, passing high clouds Friday afternoon.

The afternoon will warm up slightly with highs back in the upper 70s, still slightly below average.

Saturday 

Expect another seasonal morning with lows in the upper 50s.

Another mostly sunny afternoon with highs in the low 80s.
