The Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers has increased the award for tips leading to an arrest and conviction for an unsolved murder of a 19-year-old.

Gage Jackson was reported missing in March 2019. Eleven days after he was reported missing, a fisherman found his body floating in Prairie Creek, Punta Gorda.

Following his death, the Charlotte County Sheriff’s Office and crime stoppers launched an investigation to locate the suspect(s) involved in Jackson’s death.

An anonymous donor donated a $150,000 reward for tips that will lead to an arrest and conviction of anyone involved in Jackson’s death.

The donation will be added to the $5,000 reward Crime Stoppers offers. It should be noted that the $5,000 reward is not contingent on the suspect(s)’s conviction.

Crime Stoppers will install a billboard along U.S. 41 in Punta Gorda, near Jones Loop, regarding the reward increase on Wednesday.

If you have any information regarding the investigation or anyone involved in Jackson’s death, contact Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-8477. You can also submit tips online or on the P3 Tips mobile app. Remember, you can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward.
