A Cape Coral man has been arrested after allegedly being caught in possession of child pornography.

According to the Cape Coral Police Department, on June 4, detectives in the Special Victim’s Unit launched an investigation based on a CyberTip received by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Based on this tip, Detectives found multiple different examples of child pornography and found the internet user the material belonged to.

The material was excessively graphic, depicting infants and toddlers. Detectives obtained a search warrant for the user’s residence and seized multiple devices for analysis.

The devices revealed over 10 videos and numerous photographs of child pornography, all belonging to 61-year-old Michael Dean Neuman.

On Wednesday, Neuman was found and taken to the Lee County Jail.

He’s being charged with possession of a sexual performance by a child.
