Naples working woman dodges wet condom thrown at her

NAPLES, Fla.- A woman holding a sign while working dodged a dirty, wet condom thrown at her by two men in a car.

Leslye Hill was holding a sign for Paradise Jewelers up by the roadway along Airport Pulling Road. She’s been holding the sign each day for six months but has never had anyone passing by treat her with such disrespect.

“It’s degrading and it’s nasty,” said Hill.

It was around 4 p.m. when Hill says she looked away from the road for just a second. It was in that time someone threw a dirty wet condom out their car window at her. It just missed her body making a wet spot on the ground. She kicked it aside and called deputies.

“It was aimed for me,” said Hill. “I heard some people laughing later.”

Hill explained to deputies it was two men in their 20s driving a Mustang or Camaro that threw it at her. “Right there is the spot, right over there is the condom.”

“I think they are sick,” said Hill of the suspects.

If the condom hit Hill’s body, it would be considered battery. If it hit her and had contaminated liquid inside of it, whoever threw it could face serious felony charges.
