17-year-old killed in Fort Myers shooting

FORT MYERS, Fla.- A family is mourning and a neighborhood is on edge after a teenager was shot and killed Monday morning.

The victim has been identified as 17-year-old Ismael Torres.

The shooting happened on the 3600 block of Seminole Avenue just after 10 a.m.

Police say they found Torres outside a residence suffering from a gunshot wound. FMPD officers began CPR until the arrival of Lee County Emergency Medical Service but he did not survive.
