FORT MYERS, Fl.–Storms that rolled through the area dropped a lot of water on the roads. Down Fowler street in Fort Myers many parts of the roadway were underwater, trees were blown down and some businesses were nearly flooded. “This one was a major one, this one was big, it was bad,” said Billy Jimenez. The parking lot of the Laurels Apartment Complex was flooded with water after the storms rolled through leaving small cars flooded with water. “We got cars in here with like 4 inches of water on the inside, we got everyone parking across at the mall,” said Anthony Champney. Right now nearly 1,000 homes and businesses are without power across SWFL.
