
PUNTA GORDA, Fla. — A dead woman was found in a canal Sunday morning behind a residence on 3361 Sandpiper Drive, the Punta Gorda Police Department said.
The cause of death is unknown for Berit Hennington, 74, of 3353 Sandpiper Drive.
Authorities are conducting an investigation, but there is no danger to the public at this time.
No further information was immediately available.
