
FORT MYERS, Fla. One person died early Saturday morning in a crash on U.S. 41, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Andrew Haas, 24, of Estero, was attempting to cross the roadway when he was struck by a 2013 Dodge Charger traveling southbound, approaching the intersection of U.S. 41 and Sanibel Boulevard, according to the FHP.
The crash happened at around 1:17 a.m.
It’s unclear if alcohol was a factor for Haas.
Charges are pending a further investigation.
