Collier County ended its burn ban, the Caloosahatchee Forest Service said Wednesday. The county first issued the ban in April, prohibiting outdoor burning and outdoor ignition sources following several fires. The decision to lift the ban came following a meeting between the Collier County Bureau of Emergency Services, the Florida Forest Service and the Collier County Fire Chiefs’ Association. Lee County and Cape Coral ended their bans on outdoor burning Tuesday.
