Suspects sought in Lehigh Acres armed robbery

LEHIGH ACRES, Fla. A Dollar General was robbed at gunpoint late Saturday night on Alabama Road, Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers said.

The robbery took place just before 11 p.m. at the store at 1154 Alabama Road when two identified suspects forced employees into the store and ordered a clerk to open the safe, according to Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers.

The suspects took the money, forced the employees into a bathroom at gunpoint and fled the store, Crime Stoppers said.

The first suspect is described as approximately an 5’10” man with short black hair, a beard, average build, and in his late 20s or early 30s, according to Crime Stoppers. The suspect was wearing a surgical mask across his face and had a dark colored firearm.

The second suspect is approximately 6’2″ with a thin build an may be in his 30s, Crime Stoppers said. He was wearing white latex gloves, a bandana over his face and had a silver semi-automatic gun.
