A woman died in Cape Coral on Sunday after colliding with a parked trailer on Andalusia Boulevard. According to Cape Coral Police, Jacelyn Penna, was traveling north on Andalusia Blvd heading toward a dead end of the roadway. A 2003 Express, 53’ vehicle transport trailer, was parked along the edge of Andalusia Blvd with its rear end against some shrubbery at the dead end of the roadway. Penna failed to stop in time before the front end of her vehicle collided with the trailer. There were no indication that Penna attempted to stop before crashing into the parked trailer. Penna died from injuries suffered in the crash. No witnesses saw the incident happen. It was discovered by a passerby who alerted law enforcement to the deadly crash. Alcohol/drugs are believed to be a factor in the crash.
