Michael Ewing. Credit: Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office An Englewood man was arrested Wednesday on five felony counts of possessing child pornography. Michael Ewing, 34, was investigated and arrested by the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office after detectives learned he was possibly in possession of child pornography based on information provided by Ewing’s girlfriend, according to an affidavit. The investigation determined Ewing was indeed using his cell phone to search the internet and download sexually explicit photos of children. They executed a search warrant on Ewing’s cell phone Wednesday afternoon, recovering five images depicting child pornography.
