An Immokalee man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison on drug sale and possession charges.

The State Attorney’s Office says David Julian Redding, 43, of Immokalee, was found guilty and sentenced. He was sentenced on three counts of drug possession with the intent to sell, one count of selling cocaine, and resisting arrest without violence.

According to the State Attorney’s Office, from Feb. 24, 2021, through March 5, 2021, deputies with the Collier County Sheriff’s Office were conducting surveillance around the 300 Block of South 2nd Street due to frequent drug activity. They say that is when deputies captured Redding selling drugs on several occasions.

Deputies say Redding ran when they tried arresting him but say he was quickly caught. Deputies found several baggies with crack rock, powder cocaine, methamphetamine, and Eutylone on him. They also found a container with 100 crack rocks inside.
