Isolated storms are expected for interior sections of Southwest Florida including Glades, Hendry, Highlands and far eastern Collier counties. Only a few showers are anticipated for coastal areas towards the I-75 corridor.

Sporadic rain showers for the coastal areas are possible through the mid-morning hours. The threat of isolated storms then begins around 1 p.m. for inland zones and will likely continue, on and off, throughout most of the evening.

There is a Level 1/5 risk for severe weather for Southwest Florida’s innermost areas. This includes the cities of Clewiston, Moore Haven and Buckhead Ridge.

With less cloud cover and a less impressive spread of rain chances, high temperatures will be slightly warmer Thursday afternoon in the upper 80s for most of the area.

BOATERS: Expect 1- to 3-foot wave heights and light chop in the bays. There is no longer an active Small Craft Advisory.
