Elder in wheelchair killed in North Naples along US 41

NORTH NAPLES Fla.- Florida Highway Patrol confirms that an 87-year-old woman was killed as she rode in her motorized wheelchair along a busy U.S. 41 Saturday morning.

A witness told WINK News she swerved to avoid hitting the woman who was driving her wheelchair in traffic. She then glanced in her rear view mirror and watched in horror as another woman driving a white Nissan car directly behind her ran over the woman.
